The Steel City Softball League held its Annual Amateur Drag Pageant last Saturday, October 11, at the brand-new Distillery Complex on the Southside. There was a great turnout from the League and its supporters. Contestants included Juanita Epilepsia (Growlers), Bernadette “Bernie” Bean Flicker (Bottoms of the 9th), Summer Salt (Growlers), and Shania Taint (Trash Pandas). Catty Wampus and Chi Chi de Vivre hosted the contest. DJ Extraordinaire Jaxa Froot provided the music. Judges included Fuchsia XYZ, Daisy Ooopsy, and Stevie Crotchford. Congratulations to Shania Taint for winning the contest and becoming this year’s Steel City Softball Royalty 2025! May she reign with wisdom, wit, and grit.
