Not Your Grandma’s Retirement Home: Inside Pittsburgh’s Queer Senior Housing with Nebby Nick!

Today we’re diving into something incredibly special: queer senior housing that’s changing the game. Nebby Nick visited Mosaic Apartments in Oakland to chat with Jim and Daniel about how this one-of-a-kind space is being built for and with LGBTQ+ elders in mind.

From vibrant community rooms on every floor to art installations by local queer artists, and most importantly, how YOU can be part of it!

Applications are now open! Mosaic Apartments in Oakland is under construction and planned to open this Fall. The new apartment community will be friendly for LGBTQ+ seniors, the first of its kind in Western PA, and only the second in our state. All residents must be 62 or older, income restrictions apply.
