Honcho Campout’s Queer Fam Fund Returns for 2026

The Queer Fam Fund (QFF) has officially launched its 2026 fundraising campaign to support Black, Indigenous, people of color and people of trans experience attending this year’s Honcho Campout.

Honcho Campout 2026 will take place August 12–17 at Four Quarters in Artemas, PA.

Since 2018, the Queer Fam Fund has helped more than 400 queer and trans people attend the annual LGBTQ+ camping weekend, which brings thousands together for several days of music, performance, workshops, and community programming. Organizers say the fund exists to reduce financial barriers that can prevent marginalized community members from participating.

A GoFundMe campaign has been created to raise money for travel, meals, camping gear, and required facilities access fees for selected recipients. Campout tickets for QFF recipients are fully waived by Honcho, and no funds raised through QFF are used for ticket purchases.

According to the campaign, donations can support different aspects of the Campout experience. Contributions may help cover the required Four Quarters facilities fee, provide camping equipment such as tents and sleeping gear, pay for meals throughout the five-day event, or assist with transportation costs, which organizers note can be one of the largest barriers to attendance. A $1,000 contribution can fund a recipient’s full Campout experience, including travel, food, gear, and site access.

In addition to crowdfunding, QFF receives support through Campout ticket sales, with $15 from every ticket going directly to the fund. Attendees also have the option to contribute during the ticket checkout process. Donors who give $500 or more are eligible for pre-sale ticket access the following year.

Honcho began in 2012 as a Pittsburgh-based dance party and has since expanded its focus to large-scale events, including the annual Campout gathering. The event’s vision emphasizes building an inclusive and intersectional queer space rooted in connection, art, and collective participation.

Organizers encourage community members to donate and share the GoFundMe campaign to help expand access to the 2026 Campout.
