QBurgh is turning five, and we’re throwing a full-on queer celebration in print! The Fall/Winter 2025 issue drops tomorrow just in time for LGBTQ+ History Month, spotlighting Pittsburgh’s fiercest changemakers, artists, and community orgs, while reflecting on five years of lifting up queer voices across the city.

If you’re at Central Outreach Wellness Center, 5801 Video Lounge, P Town Bar, Brewers, Lucky’s or Blue Moon TONIGHT, you’ve got access to them a day early thanks to a special delivery by our cover star!

Gracing the cover is none other than Joey Young, your reigning Miss Blue Moon and Miss Continental Newcomer 2025, bringing all the pageant glam and power to the forefront. Inside, you’ll find an intimate look at Joey’s journey through drag, plus a stacked lineup of community features, from multidisciplinary artist Lilly Kubit to tattoo visionary Jess Scutella and theatre icon Mils “M.J.” James.

Get ready for upcoming community events like the Nightmare on Hellsworth, MQC Fest, OutFest, and the Steel City Softball Drag Pageant, all leading up to World AIDS Day on December 1. This issue also marks milestones for the Pittsburgh Pride Choir’s 40th anniversary and AIDS Free Pittsburgh’s 10-year journey, and shines a light on vital community work and more.

Film lovers will want to check out Tina Romero’s spooky new queer zombie flick Queens of the Dead, and if you’re craving a concert, David Archuleta is back in the ‘Burgh October 14 on his Earthly Delights tour, proudly out and louder than ever. And get to know the king of camp himself, Joe King!

Pick up the fall/winter issue at LGBTQ+ spaces, Carnegie Library branches, and select Giant Eagle and Shop ‘n Save locations (next to the Pittsburgh City Paper!) and celebrate five years of queer Pittsburgh history, creativity, and joy with QBurgh. Here’s to five more! Subscribers and pre-orders are in the mail.
