A multi-racial band with a style and sound reflective of their various ethnicities emerged against the backdrop of the New Romantics and Margaret Thatcher’s Britain to create Culture Club. Now, set against a backdrop that mirrors the gritty yet beautiful tension that defined the band, present-day interviews with the members are riddled with high fashion, higher hats, and raw emotion. Along with a treasure trove of archival footage, nothing is off limits—from songwriting and touring to fashion and fiery inter-band dynamics. But at its core is the tender yet explosive love story between Boy George and Jon Moss, a relationship that inspired some of their biggest hits but also brought the band to its knees.
For the first time, George O’Dowd, Mikey Craig, Jon Moss, and Roy Hay reunite to bare their truths.
