Join us in public mourning, an act of ritual as resistance. We’ll honor all who have been harmed, disappeared, and killed by fascism from Pittsburgh to Palestine. Together, we’ll reaffirm our commitment to caring for one another in the face of state violence.
We’ll say Kaddish, sing a song or two together, and hold space to share thoughts and feelings. There will be a participatory altar set up; feel free to bring things to add, from mementoes you want to take home again to organic material that can be left behind. And we’ll also have some related zines on hand.
Accessibility: Please bring a chair or blanket if needed and dress for early evening weather. We’re not requiring masks outside, but we’ll have them on hand for those who want them. There will be plenty space to keep distance too. If you’re sick, are testing positive for COVID, and/or have had close contact with someone who has COVID, please sit this one out. We’d love to see you at the next Ratzon event.
Ratzon is lovingly Jewish & unequivocally anti-zionist. All who respect the intentions of the space are welcome to join. If you have any questions or other access needs, feel free to email ratzonpgh [at] gmail [dot] com.
