February 7th, National Black HIV Awareness Day (NBHAD) is coming around, and so has come the time where we recognize the significant effects of HIV within the African American community. As such, we and our partners at AIDS Free Pittsburgh and True T Pittsburgh are coming with Two Days of engagement for you to tap into your community on this important day!
The Queer Quarterly X Status Neutral Brunch: Honoring Black HIV & AIDS Awareness Day:
Saturday, February 7th, we will be at True T Pittsburgh (1632 Forbes Ave) for Status Neutral Brunch and the Queer Quarterly, gathering in community over a good plate, centering our experiences and circumstances, and uplifting the voices of those that survive and pave the way for us against all odds: US.
The Kiki BHAD Ball: Honoring Black HIV & AIDS Awareness Day:
Friday, February 6th, we will bring the community together in celebration, hosting a mini ball at the Blaxk Box (460 Melwood Avenue) for folx to hit the floor in creativity and celebration of all of those in our community who fought on the frontlines at the height of the epidemic, and continue to fight to keep us safe, valued, and healthy.
