Pride Safety & Security Webinar (Session 1)
The PA Office of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Governor’s Advisory Commission on LGBTQ Affairs, is offering a three-part learning series to organization leaders, security personnel, and members of the LGBTQI+ community.
Topics in Session 1 will include:
- Navigating Public Events in Polarizing Times
- Celebrating Pride on and off campus
- 2026 large scale events in Pennsylvania occurring during America 250 celebrations
This is the first session of a series of three covering a variety of topics to help to ensure your 2026 Pride events is a safe and memorable experience.
Our next session, Session 2, will present information for day-of resources and support including Establishing an Emergency Plan, Conducting threat assessments and review the history of Pride events, and the presenting “The Power of Hello”.

Session three will be held in-person in Harrisburg, with an option of joining virtually, on May 7, 2026 and will include a scenario-based tabletop exercise practicing the emergency plans developed in the first two sessions. Registrations for that training will be opening soon!
