OMG it’s happening! Cherry Bomb—the residency that put The MoB on the map and brought many now-superstars of underground club music to Pittsburgh—returns as a monthly this Black History Month and every 4th Saturday at Spirit thereafter. ABOWWW!

Here’s some quick facts about this reissued classic for the uninitiated:

Cherry Bomb originally ran from 2021-2023; the first event at Spirit post-pandemic. HUNY XO was awarded Pittsburgh’s Person of the Year in Music in 2021 for reinvigorating the city’s nightlife scene through Cherry Bomb. The residency’s cohort of artists, both PGH-based and national, and many of whom count CB as their first out-of-town residency or big break, have played The Renaissance World Tour, Berghain, Lot Radio, Boiler Room, Hood Rave, Honcho Campout, Basement, and so much more.

In 2025, Cherry Bomb came out of a two-year hiatus with two iconic 2-floor bangers. And now, in 2026, we’re back at it with the exact same mission: to champion the Black AF roots of electronic dance music and remind PGH what the present and future of the underground sounds like (and who it belongs to).

Joining HUNY XO on the decks and helping christen this new chapter of Cherry Bomb, we’re excited to welcome Philly’s very own Lorboo, one-half of the epic Sub Zero party/crew.
