The BARBI 9- Pin No Tap Tournament is a fun, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming bowling event open to all bowlers and allies. This tournament serves as a fundraiser for BARBI 2026, helping us grow the Burgh Area Rainbow Bowling Invitational into an even bigger and better celebration of community and competition.

Eligibility

Bowlers must have a verified league average from the past 12 months (from any type of league), or they will bowl scratch (no handicap).

Averages may be verified upon request. The tournament staff reserves the right to re-rate or disqualify bowlers whose averages cannot be verified or appear inconsistent.

Tournament Format

Each bowler will bowl three (3) consecutive games.

9-Pin No-Tap: Any first ball that knocks down 9 or more pins is scored as a strike.

Handicap

Handicap is 90% of 220, calculated as:
(220–Bowler’sAverage)×0.90​

Entry Fee

$30 per bowler

Payment due at check-in

Payout & Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 teams, based on total handicap series.

Prize amounts will depend on the number of entries.

All payouts will be distributed on-site after the event.
