Commissioner Elected for Inaugural Season of Stonewall Sports Pittsburgh Pickleball

Stonewall Sports Pittsburgh and the Stonewall Alliance announced the election of Rachel Martone as the inaugural Commissioner of Stonewall Sports Pittsburgh’s newest expansion league, Pickleball. Commissioner Martone will serve a two-year term with the first season of Pickleball scheduled to begin in 2024.

The league has set up a new Facebook group to help keep interested community members in the loop as the league is formed.

“I currently dedicate a lot of my free time to playing pickleball. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to transfer that time to help build this program,” Martone said in a statement.

Anyone who is interested in joining the all-volunteer board for Pickleball 2024 can apply online here.
