For Allies for Health + Wellbeing, 2026 will mark a new year and a new location for the HIV service organization, medical clinic and pharmacy.
In December, Allies will be moving from its current location on Penn Avenue in East Liberty to the 211 Tower, 211 N. Whitfield St., just a couple of blocks away. The clinic and Allies Pharmacy will be on the fifth floor, while the food pantry and administrative offices will be on the sixth floor.

The move gives Allies more space for its clinic and pharmacy as well as room to grow as needed, with an increased footprint of 25% for a total of 16,000 square feet.
“Our current space is too small and not configured for the way we deliver services anymore,” said Mary Bockovich, Allies CEO. “In our clinic, particularly, we’ve turned every available space into exam rooms, so we have less space for our staff to work. When we added the Allies Pharmacy, we had to shrink our front desk and waiting room space. At 211 Tower, the clinic, pharmacy, food pantry and waiting areas will all feel more spacious, and we hope this improves the patient experience as well.”
Some features of the new location include:
- Expanded Pharmacy: Larger pharmacy square footage will allow Allies Pharmacy to fill more prescriptions and serve more patients.
- Increased Patient and Client Privacy: The redesigned space offers a pharmacy consultation room for patients to meet with a pharmacist to discuss new medications or to address questions the patient might have. Additional client meeting rooms allow for increased privacy as our case managers discuss sensitive topics with those in our care.
- Additional Patient Rooms: We will increase our service capacity in the clinic with two additional patient rooms, allowing more patients to be seen at a time by clinical staff.
- Additional Behavioral Health Counseling Rooms: Two additional counseling rooms will allow for more patients to be seen by behavioral health counselors.
Bockovich added that not only will Allies space be more comfortable and provide a better workflow, but also, patients and clients will not have to go out of their way to get to the new location.
“We’re excited that we’re able to remain in East Liberty,” Bockovich said. “We’ve been part of this neighborhood since 2007, and it was a priority for us to be in a location that’s easily accessible for our patients and clients. 211 Tower is just a short walk from our current office, and for folks who drive, there will be dedicated spaces in the 211 Tower parking lot for Allies patients and clients.”

Allies will be making the move to the new location in late December and will reopen at 211 Tower in January 2026. The clinic and onsite support services will close at the Penn Avenue location on Dec. 19. Allies Pharmacy will remain open on Penn Avenue until Jan. 8, 2026.
“During the move, we want to make things as easy as possible for our patients and clients,” Bockovich said. “Case managers will be working remotely, but clients can still call with any questions or concerns they might have. We are not scheduling clinic or testing appointments during the move, but we’re happy to welcome folks to the new location beginning in January.”
The relocation project was funded by generous foundation and individual supporters who are interested in investing in Allies’ future.
