Keep reading for the specifics, but the short version is we have to spend some big money this week to put in an electric water heater (and also our fridge is overdue for fixing). We’re on a timeline and we need your help. again.

We’re talking especially to the PARTY QUEERS! Invite all your friends, come pack our bar to the gills, order lots of drinks and snacks, and throw some cash towards all our emergency appliance costs. This Saturday, 8/30, 6pm to 1am! $5 cover starting at 8pm (so get in before 8 to skip the cover) (Cult members get in free). We’ll have a whole bunch of DJs switching out all night!

Here’s the long version:
The gas company has been updating meters in the area, and when they came to update our meter, they decided that our line was too corroded and gave us 10 days to fix it or our gas would be shut off (and we would have to close). In order to replace the line, it would cost $6k, AND they would have to dig up the sidewalk that we JUST had to dig up last year when we had to replace the water line. ughhhhhh.

We did the math, and it’s cheaper to just convert fully to electric and not use gas anymore. That still means we have (at this point, way less than) 10 days to get the water tank replaced. It’s happening TODAY, actually, goddess willing, BUT we still need to pay for it.

Also, if you’ve been to the bar recently, you’ve probably noticed we haven’t had our grilled cheeses … our main fridge has been broken for almost a month now, and we simply must fix it so we can serve up those grilled cheeses again. So PLEASE COME PARTY with us!!!!
