A Rocky Horror shadowcast is a live, interactive performance where actors in costume mimic the 1975 cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show as it plays on screen behind them. Audience participation is encouraged through call-backs, props, and dancing, especially during iconic scenes like the “Time Warp.” Shadowcasts often foster a welcoming, queer-positive atmosphere, celebrating camp, creativity, and community at midnight screenings and special events.
