The Return of Butthole

Get ready to scream “TEAM BUTTHOLE” one more time, because Pittsburgh’s punk princess of chaos, Lydia B. Kollins, is BACK and this time, she’s competing for a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

Paramount+ just dropped the cast for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 10, and in the biggest lineup in franchise herstory, Lydia is one of 18 legendary queens battling it out in the brand-new Tournament of All Stars. Premiering May 9, this season promises mayhem, lip sync smackdowns, and, if Lydia has anything to say about it, plenty of offbeat glamour and unexpected twists.

And listen. If you thought Season 17 was wild? Buckle up. Because our Steel City star isn’t just here to redeem herself—she’s here to shake the whole foundation of what drag should be.

From Camp Queen to Cult Icon

Let’s rewind: Lydia B. Kollins made her mark in Season 17 with cinematic flair, off-kilter comedy, and the now-iconic reveal that her middle name is Butthole. That singular moment had RuPaul in hysterics and instantly rallied fans around her unapologetically weird energy. What started as a gag became a movement. Team Butthole was born, uniting the quirky, the queer, and the creatively chaotic under one irreverent banner.

Though her run on Season 17 ended in a tangle of fringe and failed dress reveals (RIP to that Unholy lip sync), Lydia proved that drag isn’t about perfection, it’s about perspective. And hers? Utterly unique. A DIY visionary and fierce advocate for local drag, Lydia stood tall in her grit, humor, and vision.

Now, she’s back. A few weeks older, wiser (maybe), and ready to rewrite her story on All Stars.

Season 10 of All Stars isn’t playing around. With a new tournament format splitting the queens into three brackets, Lydia will need to bring consistency, creativity, and yes, comedy, to rack up enough points to make it to the semifinals. But if there’s one thing we know about Lydia, it’s that she lives for a plot twist and she’s never afraid to go full-camp to stand out in a crowd.

Surrounded by fierce competitors like Aja, Ginger Minj, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, and Tina Burner, Lydia’s got her work cut out for her—but honestly? That’s where she thrives. This is the queen who turned puppet lipsyncs into existential theatre. Who made “Butthole” a war cry. Who gave us one of the gayest, messiest, and most unforgettable showmances in Drag Race herstory.

This ain’t just a comeback. It’s a coronation. Or a car crash—we’ll take either tbh.

Team Butthole Rises Again

Back home in Pittsburgh, the excitement is already boiling over. Pittsburgh’s queer community showed up HARD for Lydia during her original run, packing 5801, Blue Moon, and P Town with chants of “Team Butthole!” and tears of joy. And you know they’re doing it again. Viewing parties are already in the works, and you can bet local legends like Indica and Dixie Surewood are ready to host some seriously unholy celebrations.

Because this isn’t just Lydia’s journey—it’s a moment for Pittsburgh drag. For the queens who make their own costumes, who live in bars not ballrooms, who understand that queer excellence doesn’t need polish to shine.

So what can we expect from Lydia on All Stars 10? Honestly, who knows and that’s exactly the point.

Maybe she’ll flop in the first episode. Maybe she’ll roast every queen off the stage again. Maybe she’ll wear another fringe monstrosity and get tangled all over again. Whatever happens, it’s going to be messy, emotional, and deeply, unapologetically Lydia.

And we’ll be there for every moment, screaming her name and her middle name like it’s a prayer.

Lydia B. Kollins, welcome back to the main stage. The world wasn’t ready the first time, but it better be now.

All hail the return of Butthole.
