Let’s run the clubfax: extended DJ sets are a beloved nightlife tradition we don’t get to partake in often in Pittsburgh. But there used to be a time when it was the norm—selectors were frequently given 4 hours *minimum* to take club kids on a true aural journey and engage with the crowd in a more intimate way. That’s what passengers is for, every first Sunday of the month at Jackworth Ginger Beer, with an added perk of a custom cocktail pairing by one of the city’s most exciting bartenders.

Yamez is a staple in these Pittsburgh streets (i.e. Soul Glo & Slappers N Bangers), but his legacy on the decks goes back way farther to his hometown Brooklyn, NY, where he’s considered a legend. This self-proclaimed “vibe ninja” (hard agree) has toured multiple countries and worked with big names, but just as importantly, he’s also a kind and supportive king who’s been showing up for The MoB since our early years. Is it any wonder why we’ve been tryin to lock him down for passengers all summer? ☁
