TWIRL
THE TWIRL MUST GO ON 🌪️ After being on hold indefinitely due to venue changes, your favorite dance party for house music in Pittsburgh is once again ready for takeoff.
On Saturday, April 4th, TWIRL will be serving all of the drama and ferocity the Steel City has grown to love, at a new location, Bottlerocket Social Hall🚀
Following the closure of Cobra, TWIRL’s previous residence, this beloved, retro-inspired, kitschy venue in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood is the perfect place to make a landing for our freaky little house music function. 🏡
For an occasion such as this, we have no choice but to bring it! That’s why we’ve summoned two of the most iconic house heads in the underground dance music scene to come turn the club out, severely! 💅🏽
LINEUP 🎧
✪ Mark Holcomb (NYC) A familiar face across Brooklyn and Manhattan’s queer club circuit, Mark has brought his sharp, feel-good energy to parties The Carry Nation and HARDER along with appearances at Good Room, ANIMAL, Paragon, H0L0, and now, TWIRL. Mark’s sound sits at the intersection of pop, disco, and house infused with the kind of emotional immediacy and playful nostalgia that keep dancers locked in from start to finish.
✪ B_X_R_N_X_R_D (DC) Bernard Farley is a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist and performer with an electronic music career spanning 20 years and covering genres from techno and electronic pop to ambient and experimental music. As B_X_R_N_X_R_D, his music blurs the line between DJing and live performance, using a suite of Roland drum machines, synths, and FX to create mesmerizing and intricate sonic journeys. While we might be in Twirlville, this set will undoubtedly send TWIRL into another dimension.
✪ ROJO (PGH) Darling DJ, event curator, and community leader, ROJO has carved a permanent place in Pittsburgh nightlife with their infectious, funk-infused sound. With residencies at Cobra, Brillobox, and 5801, they blend house, disco, and electronic grooves that leave crowds craving more. Beyond the booth, ROJO champions QBIPOC-affirming dance parties through their Twirlville collective, producing “TWIRL” and “Hot Stuff Disco.”
