Five years ago, QBurgh was born from a simple but powerful idea that Pittsburgh’s LGBTQ+ community deserves a media platform created by us and for us.
Since then, QBurgh has been on the front lines of queer storytelling, documenting local Pride events, reporting on anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, uplifting trans and BIPOC voices, preserving our city’s rich queer history, and celebrating the joy and resilience of our community.
We’ve done it all as a grassroots, independent, community-powered outlet. No corporate backing. No national ownership. Just queer Pittsburghers showing up for each other.
