This includes paper\, pencils\, pens\, markers\, stickers\, glue sticks\, scissors\, & tools to smooth out creases. I highly encourage you to bring your own supplies from home too if you have a specific idea in mind for what you would like your zine to look like! \n💝 What IS a zine?: A zine is a small DIY magazine or booklet! Often being only a few pages long and with a lot of room for creativity. A zine could be drawings\, scribbles\, collage art\, writing\, some thoughts just jotted down… or really anything! So long as it can go on a piece of paper\, it can go into a zine. You choose the direction\, feeling\, and look of it with your own hand. \n💝 Am I welcome to join?: No matter where you fall under the umbrella of sapphic\, if you identify even a little bit with the label\, then please come and attend!! While we may no longer borrow white clothing and dance in the vineyards in search of romance (Mishnah Ta’anit 4:8)\, we’re honoring the spirit of the holiday with a queer clothing swap. Come swap and build community — everyone respectful of the space’s intentions is welcome. \nFeel free to bring up to two bags of gently-used clothing. All not-swapped clothing will be donated. \nThis event is free\, but we welcome donations to al-Qaws\, a queer\, grassroots Palestinian organization. As queer\, antizionist Jews honoring Tu B’Av\, we feel it’s important to push back against pinkwashing. 💖 \nTuesday\, July 28 // 6 – 8 PM\nThe Soft Spot — 5407 Penn Avenue\, Pittsburgh\, PA\, 15206 \nAccessibility: \nThe Soft Spot is wheelchair accessible with a ramped entrance\, large bathrooms\, and a space designed for wheelchair use.
