SUMMARY:Wendi Miller Legacy Project Grand Opening
DESCRIPTION:The Wendi Miller Legacy Project is excited to briefly reopen the frame shop doors to the community for a limited exhibition of some of our findings on Wednesday\, May 6th\, at 6pm for International Trans+ History Day. \nGrand Opening!\nWed.\, May 6th\, 6pm-8pm.\nContinues into the weekend: May 7-9th from 11-6pm. \nRSVP: https://us21.list-manage.com/survey?u=2213a992b32b152f3df76c0dd&id=640de1f69f&e=4f5a384394 \n6020 Centre Ave.\, Pittsburgh\, PA 15206 \nApril 2026 marks three years since Wendi’s death. We’d like to share our progress in archiving and preserving her legacy in a time when human rights and protections are being taken away. We have cataloged nearly 1\,000 pieces of art that she had collected or had been abandoned at her frameshop. We have filled over 75 storage boxes with Wendi’s history. The materials will become an official archive that documents and contextualizes her life and Pittsburgh’s trans history\, which will be made accessible to researchers and creators.
