SUMMARY:Queer Fight Club
DESCRIPTION:Queer Fight Club pGH is a free\, trans-led community self-defense program dedicated to fosted camraderie\, confidence\, and the capabilities of our community and the most vulnerable members within in. \nWe train weekly in multiple fighting styles with the goal of making our bodies and minds better prepared to protect ourselves and our community. \nNew day & time!\nSundays at 7pm \nRSVP required for new members. Email us at queerfightclubpgh@proton.me \n \nWhat to expect at QFC:\n•A training environment that prioritizes clearly stating and reaffirming consent between training partners.
The only thing that separates participating in a martial art from being in a street fight is the clear\, enthusiastic consent of both training partners. It is very important to exercise clear\, open communication and remember to check in with training partners frequently. \n•A class structure that simultaneously encourages pushing the edges of our comfort zone and empowers participants to opt in to the pace and intensity that lets us feel the most safe. \n•A focus on building each other up and helping one another realize how strong and resilient we are all capable of being. \n•No video recording or photography during class times for everyone’s safety\, privacy\, and peace of mind. \n•A zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind.
