As part of the LGBTQIA+ Housing Rights Research program by the Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations, The Mobile Zine Activity is a roving place for Pittsburgh residents and members of the LGBTQIA+ community to learn about housing discrimination and share their housing stories. This activity combines education with art-based input gathering on the nature of home and experiences with housing discrimination.
The Mobile Zine Activity will be in various locations throughout Pittsburgh during late August and early September 2024.
From Monday, August 12 to Friday, August 16, you can find it at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh — East Liberty Branch (130 S Whitfield St., Pittsburgh, PA 15206). There will be a dedicated zine-making workshop on Thursday, August 15 from 5-7pm in Meeting Room 1.
On Saturday, August 17 from 1-3pm, the Mobile Zine Activity will be at City in the Streets: Knoxville.
There will be a third opportunity to engage with this project at QMNTY Center (525 E Ohio St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212) from Monday, August 19 through mid-September.
