Wendi Miller Night

November 2 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Wendi Miller Night is a one-night only screening and exhibition focused on the impact of Miller Frame owner, trans-activist, artist, and loving parent Wendi Miller. Join the Pittsburgh Queer History Project for this 7th iteration of MS89 with co-hosts, the friends and family of Wendi, including her son Cooper and TransPitt sister, Robyn Michaels. “We’ll retrace the grassroots organizing that forged Pittsburgh’s city level trans protections and person-to-person gestures that keep us alive,” organizers said.

The MS 89 series is a live & in-person only nightclub archives screening event that pays community members to host screenings and discussions of tapes that they had a hand in creating. Pushing back against the tendency to consume archives in isolation, MS 89 packs audiences together to watch and rewatch as a ritual in creating new intergenerational friendships via a shared desire for a shared past.

Event Schedule:
6:00pm – Pre-screening reception with cash bar
7:00pm – Screening starts
7:30pm – Discussion with Q&A
8:00-9:00pm – Exhibition and reception

Free with registration.
