Virtual Research Focus Group
We are promoting a research opportunity for The TRANSparency Research Collective. They’re looking for participants who have experience with transition-related care. As a Pittsburgh-based interdisciplinary group made up of mostly queer/trans-Pitt Medical students, they hope to improve the experiences that TGNC people in the PGH area face within the healthcare system. If interested in this volunteer opportunity, please register at: http://ow.ly/Uj8t50J6ICZ
You will be able to either call in anonymously using a phone number or use a Microsoft Teams link (which can be used with or without your camera on). The event will happen in a group setting, be recorded and transcribed. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.
Respectful listening and open-mindedness are the only rules.
We look forward to hearing your story!
Thank you for your time.
The TRANSparency Research Collective was founded to engage individuals who are on a journey of gender transition or affirmation. Our goal is to improve medical, mental, and surgical care in Pittsburgh by building long-term relationships between patients, surgeons, scientists, primary doctors, psychiatrists, liaisons/advocates, and families. To do so, we would like to ask you to share your experiences with obtaining gender-affirming surgical care, whether you are an active or former patient, or community member. This information will be used to generate ideas to improve care, make information more available to the community, and to inform collaborative future research efforts.
