The KIKI Lounge isn’t just another event—it’s a movement. Rooted in Ballroom’s rich history, the KIKI scene was built as a safe haven for LGBTQIA+ youth under 28, especially Black and Latinx communities, to express themselves, build community, and celebrate identity without fear or judgment.

Why It Matters:

• Ballroom culture emerged from Harlem’s underground in the 1920s and became a lifeline during the HIV/AIDS crisis of the ‘80s. By the 2000s, the KIKI movement rose to empower LGBTQIA+ youth through visibility, activism, and resilience. Today, it remains a pillar of hope, safety, and belonging—and you’re invited to be a part of it.

Whether you’re serving 10s or just stepping into the scene, the KIKI Lounge is where you belong.
