Essential in Japanese and Korean cuisine and a fundamental herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine\, the plant is the center of Perilla People’s Garden\, Ginger Brooks Takahashi’s installation at the 59th Carnegie International. \nGet to know perilla through the lens of food\, history\, and culture! Join Ginger for an artist talk about the project\, along with a tour of the outdoor garden and accompanying indoor installation. \nWe meet outside of the Carnegie Museum of Arts on Thursday\, October 1st\, at 5pm.
