Queer and Queer Allies Craft Celebration

March 8 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Release and take your power back!

Queer LGBTQ+ and allies, we will be celebrating and decorating a sliding box or mini casket of your choice to say goodbye to any person, place, or thing in your life journey. Each person will be given a mini-doll and a box of their own to paint or decorate. Supplies will be provided. If you have anything that you want to bring that is okay as well.

Refreshments will also be provided.

$10 per person fee.

Adult craft event key points:

  • Safe space
  • Queer community healing

  • Grow a sense of autonomy (autonomy = the ability to make your own choices and decisions or to act independently)

  • Taking your power back from hurtful and deceptive familial/platonic systems/behaviors.
  • Knowing when enough is enough and breaking the proverbial mold of generational patterns.

  • Build peace, helping aid with emotional regulation
  • Help mental health, mindfulness, and inner processing.

Teens craft event key points:

  • Safe space
  • Healthy mindfulness
  • Can save, protect, preserve, and allow them to be children
  • Having allies can help them understand how to properly coexist and build community in a healthy manner
  • Teaches boundaries with self and others
  • Build confidence, self-control, and awareness
  • A great way for parents to be able to communicate and understand their child
  • Help learn about themselves and ways to socialize
  • Develop a sense of healthy autonomy (autonomy = the ability to make your own choices and decisions or to act independently)
  • Help with mental health
  • Help think for themselves and problem-solve
  • Help aid with emotional regulation and processing
  • Aid in expressing themself in therapy
  • Self-trust
  • Inner processing

Mother/father and child craft event key points:

  • Build a stronger bond
  • A safe way to communicate
  • Break cycles
  • Help parent heal their inner child while raising a child
  • Good tool for family theater
