Pushing Forward: Local Protections for LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians

July 15 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Pennsylvania Interbranch Commission for Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Fairness welcomes you to attend a forthcoming webinar, “Pushing Forward: Local Protections for LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians,” on July 15, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

With Pride Month underway in Pennsylvania and across the country, we encourage you to engage in a critical conversation on localized, non-discrimination ordinances: What are they, and how do they work? Why do we need them? How do they compare to protections for LGBTQ+ individuals at the state and federal levels? Which localities in PA have enacted them?

The webinar’s expert panel consists of Liz Bradbury (Chair, Keystone Equality), Jason Landau-Goodman (Board President, PA Youth Congress), Naiymah Sanchez (Senior Organizer, ACLU-PA), and Dena Stanley (Founder and Executive Director, Trans YOUniting PGH).

This webinar will be administered by the Interbranch Commission, the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ+ Affairs, and Keystone Equality.
