Earth Day is coming and Pittsburgh is Burning! Come to the Blaxk Box on Friday, April 25th, at 5 pm for a clothing swap and a mini Kiki ball to celebrate our creativity and uplift sustainability! This event is community first. It will be free, with free STI Testing, and Voter Registration by 1Hood Media.

All walking attendees must bring a piece of clothing for donation, which will then be dedicated to the QMNTY Center’s new QMNTY Closet at 517 East Ohio Street.

New Face — “The Pittsburgh Phoenix” (1 Trophy)
As one of the industrial champions of the country historically, Pittsburgh has also had one of the worst air qualities in the country. However, a new era is arising from the ashes of this environmental low. In the name of the rising Pittsburgh phoenix, just bring it in a flaming hot red effect, plus for a smokey eye.

OTA Realness — “Speaking of Sustainability…” — (2 Trophies, $150)
For realness, just bring it, but we need you to get on the mic and tell the audience and judges a fact about sustainability.

Comm vs. Comm — “The Three R’s” (1 Trophy, $150)
Get your 10s using the words “Reduce,” “Reuse,” and/or “Recycle.”

Sex Appeal — “Reduce” (1 Trophy, $150)
Fast fashion is destroying us! Fashion Nova is doing unethical factory work… Savage x Fenty is scamming the girls… it’s not sustainable. Get back to the basics and bring it in some classic nightwear from your parent’s closet.

OTA Performance — “Refuse” (1 Trophy, $150)
Bring it in an altered version of one of your fab, past, effects.

OTA Runway — “Recycle!” (1 Trophy, $200)
Every year blah blah enough water bottles to wrap around the earth twice. In the fashion of “reduce, reuse, recycle,” bring it in a stylish effect incorporating recyclable materials (paper, cardboard, bottles, etc.) in your effect. This is ballroom, get creative! You can’t say you don’t have the materials!
