DESCRIPTION:PFLAG Greensburg’s July meeting will be Sunday\, July 19\, at 2PM at First Presbyterian Church — 300 South Main Street\, Greensburg\, for a showing of the Documentary Mary and followed by a discussion with Mary Almy (no registration necessary). \nPlease meet in the first floor dining room. Note: this will take the place of our regular monthly meeting—we will not meet at Trinity UCC in July. \nMetered parking is free on Sundays. \nStories that challenge perceptions can change the world. \nMary’s story is one of profound transformation. Growing up in a world where understanding and acceptance were often scarce\, she confronted immense challenges\, including cultural adversity\, violence\, and the burden of concealing her true identity. Yet\, through it all\, Mary emerged as a hero\, serving her country with honor in the military\, upholding justice as a police officer\, and finding solace in missionary work. \nMary’s journey took a remarkable turn when\, at the age of 58\, she embraced her true self\, supported by the unyielding love and devotion of Betsy\, her wife and advocate.
