Perspectives of People with HIV: Facing Stigma and Overcoming Barriers to Thriving

Learning Objectives: by the end of today’s session, participants should be able to:

  • Define stigma and discuss the effects of stigma on people with HIV.
  • Discuss how individuals who are newly diagnosed with HIV can navigate stigma in a healthy way.
  • Identify barriers to care and thriving for people with HIV.
  • Discuss ways to encourage people with HIV to overcome barriers to living vibrant, joy-filled lives.

  • Meet four panelists that have had HIV long-term, yet have stories that offer wisdom, encouragement, and hope.

Accreditation
