Oops! All Snakes! — A Pagan Celebration of Ireland

March 16 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the queer witches at Harold’s Haunt (Millvale’s They-Bar) for a silly little event to celebrate Ireland!

It’s St. Paddy’s Day weekend!

St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and, at some point in history, someone decided that St. Patrick got all the snakes to leave the Emerald Isle.

Now, we all know that’s more myth than a historical event (there have never been snakes in Ireland). Over time many folks have decided that this was a story meant to symbolize that St. Patrick chased all the pagans out of Ireland…..

LOL!!!! I mean first of all, have you MET an Irish Catholic grandmother???? They are definitely full of magick. Also, Athena got her first Tarot deck from an Irish Catholic nun, soooooooo…

St. Patrick sure did NOT chase all the pagans away. The church kind of just… adopted pagan practice into its own liturgy.

BUT it sure is fun to be Irish and also a Pagan and say HEY PADDY YA MISSED ONE NEH-NEH-NEH-NEH HERE I AM I’M A SNAKE NEH-NEH-NEH!

Anyway. Come to our OOPS All Snakes Party!!
