National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 1

February 6 @ 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm

This two-day event aims to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on people in Allegheny County. We will discuss important information, like data and statistics, community needs, and why it’s important to come together as a community to address this issue. Our goal is to help everyone understand the challenges faced by people living with HIV/AIDS and how we can support them better. Through open conversations and sharing of information, we hope to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women affected by HIV/AIDS in our county. Join us as we work together to spread awareness, advocate for change, and build a stronger community for women impacted by HIV/AIDS.

The purpose of this event is to foster dialogue and raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on African American women and other members of the community. By bringing together community members, faith-based organizations, and political figures, we aim to initiate conversations that promote education, understanding, and the elimination of stigmas associated with HIV/AIDS. Our event will feature a panel discussion, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds, physicians, and leaders from faith-based organizations. These panelists will share their personal experiences and knowledge about HIV/AIDS, providing valuable insights to the attendees. Through this event, we hope to create a safe and engaging space for learning, while working towards ending the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.
