March Film Discussion: Bound

March 24 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Steel City Queer Film Club is a Pittsburgh meetup group for fans of LGBTQ+ cinema!

For our March meetup, we’ll be discussing the 1996 neo-noir film, Bound. Directed by the Wachowskis, the film follows Corky and Violet, played by Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly, as they devise an intricate plan to steal from the Mafia. A queer reinvention of classic noir, this was the first film from the Wachowskis before they embarked on the celebrated Matrix series.

We’ll be meeting on Sunday, March 24th at 2pm at City Kitchen in Bakery Square.

As the name of the group suggests, all of the chosen movies for our club will feature queer characters, actors, directors, and/or writers. We’ll each watch the selected film on our own time and then meet up to discuss the film!

All LGBTQ+ folks and allies welcome! If you love cinema and want to discuss our film of the month, we’re eager to have you as part of our group!
