Step into your Saturday with joy! Line Dancing is a great way to get the body moving, keep the mind sharp, and connect with the community. Join guest instructors Michael Gehrling and Ken Ho from 412Step as they rotate through new and familiar dances that anyone can learn. This inclusive experience is rooted in having fun together.
412 Step is a Waltzing, 2-Stepping, and Line Dancing community founded in the LGBTQ+ family of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their mission is to provide the LGBTQ+ population of Pittsburgh with dance events that build an active, thriving, and inclusive community. “We come together to dance, socialize, and have fun! Don’t worry if you’ve never danced before, everyone is welcome regardless of skill level. Dancing is our primary activity, but the best attribute of 412Step is the community and connections that are made and maintained through our events. We strive to create a low-key and welcoming environment where all dance levels feel comfortable.”
Movement and dance is for everyBODY.
The Alloy School is a creative community where individuality is celebrated and all gender expressions and cultures are welcome. In this safe space, learning is a guided collaboration between our teaching artists and the participants. Through The Alloy School’s non-competitive environment, youth, adults, and families of all experience levels can share in the joy of movement while developing body awareness, coordination, and esteem.
The Alloy School Winter/Spring session spans 8 weeks of Saturdays at KST’s Alloy Studios from February 4 – April 1 with a public Showcase and celebratory Let’s Move! Family Dance Party on April 8.
