SUMMARY:Let's Make An Arrest Plan
DESCRIPTION:Some of us are at greater risk of arrest from activism\, work\, visas\, racism\, substance use\, hobbies\, or other reasons. Knowing that\, we can try to plan ahead just a little. \n“Let’s Make An Arrest Plan” with SWOON Alliance. November 11\, 2026\, 6:00–7:30p on Zoom or at East Liberty Library. \n✏️ In this workshop\, we’ll discuss the basics on what you might expect if you’re arrested\, options for interacting with police\, and what you might do to plan ahead. Everyone can leave with a written arrest plan to give to loved ones. \n🙅‍♀️ We won’t cover: legal advice\, illegal activity\, hiring a lawyer\, or ICE/federal interactions. If you have personal experience with incarceration\, it’s possible this workshop might seem too basic for you\, but all are welcome. \nOnline: Register at https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/AQbW2-N0SiKZvd22q9kS6Q#/registration\nIn-person: RSVP is encouraged but not required. \nSnacks will be provided. This event is not endorsed by the Carnegie Libraries.
