SUMMARY:Making a Chest Binder Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In the first workshop\, participants will learn to collect measurements needed to create a chest binder\, then use those measurements to draft a custom binder pattern. Participants will also review suggested fabrics/notions and construction techniques. \nIn the second workshop\, participants will cut their fabric and sew the garment to a point where it can be tested for fit. Experienced sewists may begin finishing their binder\, while newer sewists will be introduced to and practice finish techniques\, leaving with a binder ready to finish at home. \nAll participants should be familiar and comfortable operating a sewing machine. \nMaterials will be provided. Sewing machines will not be required for the first workshop. A limited number of sewing machines will be available for the second workshop. Bring your own if you know it works! \nNOTE: You will have to register for the 3/14 workshop and the 3/21 workshop separately. \nINSTRUCTOR BIO\nNoah Riley has been making clothes for himself\, loved ones\, and community members for the better part of the past 15 years.
