Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Pittsburgh: What Comes Next?

December 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

You’re invited to an essential event addressing religious freedom and the future of our communities. Join us on Sunday, December 15th, from 1:00-4:00 PM at Rodef Shalom Congregation for “Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Pittsburgh: What Comes Next?”

As part of the 2024 “Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Pittsburgh” project, sponsored by the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Greater Pittsburgh, this summit will dive into the critical issues impacting Jewish women and Jews of other marginalized genders AND their allies. Our program will feature dynamic speakers, an insightful panel discussion, and interactive sessions for community engagement.

Summit Highlights:

  • Keynote Address by The Honorable Jill Beck, Pennsylvania Superior Court: “A View From the Bench”
  • Panel Discussion, moderated by Judge Beck, featuring local experts and leaders
  • Interactive Networking & Action Forum: Connect with organizations to learn actionable steps for advocacy in 2025 and beyond.

Together we will explore the future of religious freedom in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and across the United States in the aftermath of the 2024 elections. The program is designed to engage, amplify, and elevate the voices of Jewish women and others of marginalized genders around key religious freedom issues, including reproductive rights, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, public education, and antisemitism.
