DESCRIPTION:After over a year of production and preparation\, it is our honor and privilege to announce the official launch of our final showcase ✨  \nEmBody: The ReSanctification of Black & Brown Queerness is a multidisciplinary performance art experience rooted in the belief that LGBTQIA+ bodies\, stories\, sensuality\, and identities are Sacred. \nIn hopes of awakening our ancestral memory\, we honor the Queer and Transgender people who held revered roles as spiritual teachers\, healers\, shamans\, and bridges between the physical and spiritual realms. This offering is a rejection of our erasure. \nThrough poetry\, live vocals\, sound healing\, ritual\, and choreography spanning multiple movement styles\, EmBody follows the journey of a Divine Queer Soul as they enter the world and navigate the many phases of life. Exploring ancestral veneration\, decolonization\, identity\, community\, death\, rebirth\, and the reclamation of self\, we rewrite the Queer origin story.
