Steel City Queer Film Club is a Pittsburgh meetup group for fans of LGBTQ+ cinema!

For our December meetup, we’ll be discussing Todd Haynes’ 2015 film, Carol. Based on Patricia Highsmith’s classic queer novel, The Price of Salt, this Christmastime tale starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara is a roadtrip movie, a love story, and an homage to 1950s melodrama, all in one.

We’ll be meeting on Sunday, December 10th at 2pm at City Kitchen in Bakery Square.

As the name of the group suggests, all of the chosen movies for our club will feature queer characters, actors, directors, and/or writers. We’ll each watch the selected film on our own time and then meet up to discuss the film!

All LGBTQ+ folks and allies welcome! If you love cinema and want to discuss our film of the month, we’re eager to have you as part of our group!
