Save the Dates! The Black Queer Affinity Series is a project curated by Pittsburgh-based artist Nola Mims. This weekly series will consist of 22 events solely for Black Queer folks to gather and find community, play, rest, and relaxation.
The series comprises 8 Yoga Sessions led by YOGAMOTIF, 8 Affinity Social Hours with refreshments catered from local eateries, and 6 Ceramic Workshops with Mims Ceramics.
What are the events?
Tuesday Evening Social Hour
The Affinity Social Hour is a catered picnic in the park! We’ll start with 30 minutes of discussion around a community prompt, followed by unstructured time for open discussion. Light food and other refreshments will be provided. At the end of each session, one attendee will win a raffle prize (one prize per event. one win per person).

Thursday Evening Ceramics
Mims Ceramics is a Black and Queer-owned handmade home goods brand founded by Nola Mims. During the event series, Nola will lead 6 hand-building workshops. Each session will focus on making a unique and functional project like incense holders, dishware, and other home goods.

Sunday Morning Yoga
