All About Disabled Sex: Queer Disability Justice

This virtual workshop combines approaches for queer and disabled liberation, examining the shared roots of oppression in ableism and homophobia/transphobia and helping participants develop their toolboxes for unworking these systems in their lives and organizations. Special guest hosts are Robin Gow and Rain Black.

  • Define ableism, disability, disabled, and queer and the connections between terms
  • Analyze specific biases and barriers LGBTQ+ disabled people face and their impacts
  • Examine the intertwined histories of disability justice and queer liberation
  • Develop approaches to creating spaces that are accessible and welcoming
